This Crazy Chick

I finally got around to posting an About page, because I have an hour of French homework that I really don’t want to start on.

I started this blog as a place to express my thoughts on health-related topics and to document my changes and successes on the road to the best health. And I’m an attention whore.

As far as stories, I was always a fat girl. I finally decided I hated how weak my body was and I wanted to change. So I changed. I’m still changing, but I’m getting to where I want to be. The funny thing is that that perfect element is also still changing, making the task of catching it most bothersome. But exciting too!

  3. Hey girl!

Thanks for commenting on my page!

TEXAS!!!!! I ♥ hearing from Texans. I don’t care that I now live in Pittsburgh, I’ll ALWAYS be a Texan. After all, I was born there and lived there 28 years of my life! I’m still hoping we’ll make it back to Texas someday:)

HAHA! What MJ (above) said about Vegangelicals is funny! Never heard that before!

  4. Hi! Very stylish blog! I very much appreciate your dislike for the holier-than-thou folks! :)

  6. I am from Austin, I love finding other Texans! But I am going to school at UC Davis, also in Cali! Shweet.

  7. Hi Mimi, It was great to meet you yesterday! I had read so much about you on Sophia’s blog. Sorry we couldn’t chat more, but it was a bit hard to yell across the table… :) Have a safe trip back!

  8. Not even the original Matrix?

  9. Mimi! I hear you’re visiting Britannia? We live in Bristol, which is a couple of hours from London on the train so I can give you a tour if ever you wanted? xx

  10. OMG awesomeness! You rock girl! And I’m with you on the misleading labels- grrr! :-)

  11. OK that was embarrassing- the comment above was mine but for some inexplicable reason, my login was for my cat (I help her write a blog). Sorry!!

  12. And it hasn’t appeared! Gah! I’ll repeat what I said: You rock rock rock, girl! And I also hate false labeling. Love your “Le Nutshell” …great sense of humor!

  13. Hi, I just read your thoughts on Paleo, etc..I eat pretty heavily on animal fats and proteins. I’m wondering if this is okay. But I am generally scared of grains and beans (I eat tons of potatoes, fruit, squash, fats, dairy, etc). Would love to know a “typical’ eating day for you and if you think I’m overdoing things with animal foods EVERY day. Can you shoot me a private email?

  14. Hi!
Well for someone living in LA you are probably not nearly as kooky as many that I’ve met :-)

If I read you correctly on Sagan’s site, you do intermittent fasting. I got into this because of time factors as a doctor and it has worked really well for me. I don’t think it’s for everyone for obvious reasons, but if it works for you, that’s great!

  15. Hey, pleased you liked the Hot Chocolate at the coffee festival.

Come and say hi at the next event 18/19 May Caffe Culture at Olympia, always a great show.

    Paul

  16. I just found your blog 0-0 after reading Sophia’s for so long I never realized you had your own cool place over here!

Happy belated Birthday and you are gorgeous! I cannot believe the before picture!

  17. Hi Mimi! :D I’m here b/c I’ve heard a lot about you from Sophia and you’re always featured on her blog! :) Nice to meet you~ and it’s crazy how much you resemble one of my best friends from childhood. But I assure you, you’re not her b/c she lives in Argentina. Ooohh so what are some of your favorite films?

  18. I love the title of this tab, but you are not crazy. You are brilliant.

Yeah, there is a difference. ;)

  19. Mimi, thanks for your wonderful comment on my story post on Gena’s blog. Wish we had met when you were over here in London :) well wishes x

  20. Hi Mimi! I realized I don’t have your email and I want to make those amazing bacon wrapped cheese stuffed dates you brought to the picnic.. can you email me the recipe? Thank you, hope things are great with you! xoxoxo
